Many students who are taking the course are interesting in leveraging the power of new media. New media provides a new platform for people to tell the story, and the capability of it is unlimited. The combination of images, sounds, and scripts create a new way to capture audiences’ imagination. Students are excited to be able to explore the world of new media, and how it affects people’s daily life.
Some of the students also mention that the group project is a good way to demonstrate such power. By developing a semester long project, students are able to experience the power of new media in first hand. The territory of new media is fairly new to the human society, which shows that there still are a lot of potential. This is one of the attractions of new media.
